Probiotics are all the rage right now in the natural health world. For good reason.

The new research comes from Griffith University and the Menzies Health Institute. Scientists recruited 44 hay-fever sufferers and gave them a daily probiotic supplement containing six bacterial strains.[4]
After eight weeks, 64% of the allergy patients felt better. Their sneezing, watery eyes, nasal congestion, and coughing were less severe. They were less likely to use medication.
The Best Probiotic Supplement
There are many different types of probiotic supplements on the market. You should look for ones that:
- Contain at least six different probiotic strains. Probiotics are beneficial because they increase the diversity of your good gut bacteria. So the more strains in your supplement, the better.
- Have at least 10 billion CFUs per serving. This is a measure of potency.
- Contain strains in the lactobacillus and bifidobacterium genuses.These are the strains most strongly linked to allergy relief.
- Contain prebiotics along with probiotics. Prebiotics act as a sort of fertilizer to feed the probiotics and keep them flourishing in your gut.
The probiotics craze is one fad with a good reason for existing. Jump on the bandwagon and you can avoid the misery of hay fever and support your overall health at the same time.
