Decrease Women Heart Attack Risk

A Delicious Way for Women to Cut Heart Attack Risk

Attention women!

A new study shows how you could reduce your risk of heart attack by 32 percent—naturally.1 And it’s important for every woman to understand how important that is.  Because if you think this is primarily a “male problem,” think again. Women are less likely to suffer from a heart attack then men. But when they do they are less likely to survive.2 So take note…

Researchers published their finding in the American Heart Association’s journal Circulation.

They followed 93,600 women over 18 years. Women followed-up every four years with information about their diet.

The women didn’t have to add anything weird to their diets. They didn’t take a supplement. You may be surprised at how such a common food made such a huge difference in heart health.

So what was it?

Berries—specifically blueberries and strawberries.

We already know that berries are loaded with flavonoids, which act as powerful antioxidants.

But thanks to this study, scientists discovered that blueberries and strawberries contain a specific subclass of flavonoids.

Anthocyanins.

And here’s the thing…  Anthocyanins can actually dilate arteries. By dilating arteries, plaque can’t build up. This eliminates blockages.

“We have shown that even at an early age, eating more of these fruits may reduce risk of a heart attack later in life,” said lead author Dr. Aedín Cassidy.

The American Heart Association recommends berries as a dietary staple for heart health. Of course women still need to eat a balanced meal with vegetables and lean protein. And they need to incorporate some sort of physical activity in their life.

But as the research shows, just a handful of strawberries and blueberries may ward off what could be a fatal attack.
